I direct regionally as well as at my home institution, and I love to explore innovative staging as well the impact of conscious casting and thoughtful design.

I write plays by myself and musicals with my talented writing partner, Alec Powell. I have a particular interest in inventive adaptation. 

​

I hold degrees in Performance, Playwriting, and Theatre History; and I'm passionate about creative collaboration across disciplines and engaging with the critical thought processes of my students.

​

Although I'm California-raised, I've lived and worked all around the U.S.  I now live in Utah Valley with my wife, kids, pets, books, and vintage art collection.
